Meet Eddie Toohey, BC-HIS, T.H.A.A Board Member

For over 20 years, Eddie Toohey has proudly served patients across Texas as a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist with Brown Hearing Centers. Eddie’s journey in hearing healthcare began in 2003, inspired by his family’s legacy in the field. His grandparents, Lee and Dorothy Brown, founded Brown Hearing Centers in 1962, and today, Eddie represents the third generation dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care to the community. Eddie is also a member of the International Hearing Society, supporting his commitment to staying at the forefront of hearing healthcare advancements.

Recently elected as a board member for the Texas Hearing Aid Association, Eddie actively contributes to high industry standards and advocates for the rights of hearing care professionals across Texas. “It’s an honor to give back to the field in this way,” he shares. “Seeing the joy on a patient’s face when they hear clearly again – especially connecting with loved ones – is the most rewarding part of my work.”When not at work, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and children, including hunting and fishing. “Getting away from the busyness of life and reconnecting with nature has always been meaningful to me,” Eddie says. With a commitment to his patients and a legacy spanning over six decades, Eddie Toohey is honored to carry on the tradition of excellence that defines Brown Hearing Centers.
